My Harley Davidson Motorcycle Man!

The man of my dreams was always a Harley riding guy!

If it wasn’t for this man I would have missed a lot of crazy wild adventures. One thing you must understand is that David has ants in his pants. When we lived in Los Angeles on any given night when I was getting ready for bed he would ask me where can you get us a room. I normally get free rooms at the casinos from all my gambling. It’d be about 10 pm at night and off we ride our Harley Davidson Motorcycle to Las Vegas, Laughlin, Solvang or Palm Desert.

The Beginning – Memories

I remember once we had ridden to lake Tahoe and I read an article about the annual Las Vegas bike fest going on that weekend. Next thing you know and 12 hours of riding in the cold weather we arrived at the Tropicana Las Vegas.

I got us a suite that was straight from the sixties with a jacuzzi in the middle of the bedroom, ratan flower chairs and couches. Yes, they even had mirrors on the ceiling. Memories. This was supposed to be my introduction to my first guest post. There is so much to say about this man that I love with all my ❤️. I will let him tell you about his experience now.?

David – The Harley Man – My Harley Man!

Hi Everyone, my name is David Wohlman- Felicia’s other half. I started riding a motorcycle at the age of 15 when my parents allowed me to get my first bike, it was a step-through Honda 50cc and it was a joke because then I was 6 foot 5 and you really couldn’t see the bike, and my friends laughed at me but I didn’t care. It was a motorcycle and I found my escape from reality-my new freedom—From there I stepped up to a honda 350; then to a honda 450 and then to a honda 4 cylinder 750. My parents didn’t see much of me after that because I was riding all the time. My first touring bike was a Goldwing and I never looked back. Touring motorcycles became a passion for me as it was a feeling of freedom with the wind blowing (hopefully not over 25 mph). It truly is my therapy because when I’m on my motorcycle I don’t think about anything else going on in my life. I just focus on the road and the views and make my own movie.

After a span of 15 years of no motorcycle riding, I fell in love with my best friend and one day we were bored and I said let’s go rent a motorcycle… We went to Eagle Rider https://www.eaglerider.com/losangeles by Los Angeles airport and rented our first Harley. Felicia was scared shitless. I told her to hang on and trust in God. She was shaking from head to toe. After a couple more rides to get her used to ride: I said honey lets go to Vegas. Oh no she said that’s way too far for me….. Now she loves when we do a turnaround to Vegas. We will drive there and stay the night at one of the casino hotels like Bally’s https://www.caesars.com/ballys and ride home the next morning. It is a quickie as we like to call it…lol.

There is a saying describing what it is to ride a bike versus driving in a car. I tell people when you are driving in a car you are watching a movie looking out the car windows. Riding on my Harley Davidson 2016 Ultra Road Glide feels like I am in the movie rather than just looking out the window. Every year we ride our motorcycle about 20.000 to 30,000 miles going everywhere you can think of. I am very fortunate that Felicia loves riding on the back of the motorcycle as much as I love driving the motorcycle. Currently, we have 123,000 miles on our 2016 Ultra Road Glide…Not too bad. The engine is still sound at least for today…With Harley Davidson’s motorcycles, routine service is very important. It can be very costly to keep your bike running smoothly. I try and hide the Harley Davidson dealership invoices from Felicia so she doesn’t know how much I spend keeping “Betty Boop” well maintained. That’s enough about me. May you continue to enjoy this blog about motorcycle road trips.

Felicia speaking here – If you wish you can join David and me as we share our past and future motorcycle riding adventures with you our readers on this broad highway of riding and pure freedom. We’d love to hear from you about your adventures and welcome guest posts. Just leave a reply below!
