    OUR LAST NIGHT IN PARIS

Do not drive in Paris. Somehow David did a fabulous job driving through the confusing streets with all the crazy drivers and mopeds. After a nice rest at the most expensive and worst hotel on our trip we headed out cheaply. We took Bus 82 to Montparnasse and had a lovely dinner of lamb and shrimp sitting of course on the sidewalk smoking. This is the French way. All packed Jerome from Luxe2road picked up the motorcycle this morning at our Hotel. It took a good two hours navigating Charles de Gaulle airport through security and shopping. I visited the Hermes and Prada stores as there is a complete shopping…

    MORE BRUSSELS

I forgot to mention our visit to Brussels most overrated attractions the Manneken Pis which is a small boy statue taking a piss. It reflects the Belgium humor. Did I mention that French fries started hear and of course we ordered some and ate them like the locals with mayonnaise. The weather was finally cooler. I’m sitting in front of our hotel on the plaza and it’s cold. C’EST 55 degrees farenheit. Today we ride back to Paris. Another 4 hour ride that we must navigate in French. Tomorrow we fly home at 3pm. It’s truly been an experience of s lifetime. I love seeing all the history and how…

    BRUSSELS

This is my favorite city. Pedestrian streets everywhere and lots of gothic architecture in the churches and buildings. It is definitely worth it after a hard day of traveling. What was supposed to be a 3 hour ride from Koblez turned into an all day affair of getting lost numerous times. We left the hotel around 9am and stopped by the monorail so I could buy a snow globe for my collection. Then it was a stop at the Harley Davidson so David could add a tshirt to his neverending collection. Afterwards we rode along the Rhine river and marveled at castle after castle. A stop in Bonn for a…

KOBLENZ – THE ROMANTIC RHINE RIVER

It was a three hour journey from Heidelberg to Koblenz on the Highway. We made a stop in Manheim at Starbucks. It’s the only place I can get a ICED COFFEE. The Europeans do not believe in ice nor keeping their refrigerators cold for drinks. Waters at the gas stations are more on the warm side than cold. We arrived at our hotel. Diehls and were escorted to our room on the river with a balcony to relax on. Just beautiful and picturesque. We took baths and headed down the river bank and took a ferry across the Rhine river. We found a boat leaving on a cruise of the…

    HEIDELBERG

Oh what a romantic little town. After a hot and humid afternoon through the French countryside we arrived at our hotel on the Neckar river. The lady at the hotel served us homemade lemonade and told us the history of this 18th century home. It used to be where the students dueled with swords. Mark Twain stayed here for 3 months and even wrote about it. The room was gorgeous with a canopy bed, antiques galore from China, hence the name of the room..the Peking Suite. Best was the tub with jacuzzi tubs for our sore bodies. We changed and quickly walked to the old town and found the marketplace…
