THE FRENCH COUNTRYSIDE
The first obstacle was navigating David out of Paris with all the crazy drivers. We finally found the A4 which is their highway in France. After a couple of hours in the hot and humid weather we stopped for lunch at the gas station. There is a like a food court here where we had a sandwich on a baguette. It was also time to find somewhere for the night. 40 minutes later off the beaten path we arrived at the bed and breakfast. They gave a delicious dinner of lasagna, salad and a hot cheese plate for me. It is beautiful here and waking up to chickens outside. So…

MOULIN ROUGE
A perfect night. We had dinner at a little restaurant across the street from the Moulin Rouge and the food was delicious. Although I was not sure what we were eating. David had a pulled pork meal of some sorts. After dinner we took the petit train around Monmarte and saw the beautiful view of Paris from the famous steps below the church. Next was the 9pm moulin rouge show Fairies. We sat 4 chairs away from the stage. We were enthralled by the show. It was better than a Vegas show and we have seen s lot of Vegas shows! So beautiful were the costumes and scenery. The dancers…

EIFFEL TOWER
I’m sitting here at le Mars right at the Eiffel Tower. We went to the top. WOW. Paris is beautiful and so big. Yesterday we took a bus tour, walked along the Camps-elyse, had lunch at a very nice restaurant across the street from Louis Vuitton that has a line to get in. This store does over 1 million in sales every day. No I didn’t splurge on one. Later at night we explored the St. MICHEL and St. Germain neighborhoods. Everywhere you look are cafes, stores, patisseries, crazy busy..lots of people and music. Now we are going to the Louvre, the largest museum in the world with 35 miles of exhibits.

PARIS & EUROSTAR TRAIN
After a 2.5 hour train ride we arrived in Paris. The train travels up to 180 mph. It was very nice as we were served a light lunch and took a little nap. Wow. The Eiffel Tower is more amazing than I ever thought. Built in 1889 makes me appreciate it even more. We had some terrible espresso at an outdoor cafe and then walked a good mile to find Starbucks. We had dinner sitting on Boulevard de Grenelle at a cute restaurant. Everyone sits on the sidewalk eating & drinking. We met a German man and his 12 year old daughter and walked with them to see the Eiffel…

LONDON DAY 2
This was a royal day. We took a walk through St. James Park and decided to stop and say hi to the Queen at Buckingham palace. Unfortunately she was not there as she is on vacation in Scotland. After our Royal Palace tour we Uber back to the hotel. Next on our list was The Churchill War rooms where he hid out and planned the D-day invasion during WWII. After this tour it was time for High Tea. We we fortunate to get in at Harrods with no reservations. Wow what a department store. It beats out Sax Fifth Avenue by far. We had little sandwich, scones, little cakes and tried…
