Yesterday we walked and walked and walked. I don’t think my legs have ever been this sore!. The morning started with a guided bus tour of London/Westminister cities. A stop in front of Buckingham palace to take pictures and a stop at St. Paul’s church. Wow. The afternoon we took the clipper taxi on the Thames river to The Tower Bridge. We walked along the wharf across the bridge to the Tower of London. Watching the guards do their ceremonial change was amazing. However for me the crown jewels were surreal. OMG I’m so happy. I found a Starbucks right by our hotel. There are not as many Starbucks here like in California. Today we are taking a morning bus tour of London and this afternoon we have tickets for The Tower of London and get to see the beautiful crown jewels!

It’s 9:35 pm London time and 1:35 pm California time. I only slept maybe half the time on the ten hour plane ride. Virgin Atlantic has every movie and tv show for David while I listened to all my travel podcasts. Upon arriving at Heathrow we were met by a Monogram host who put us in a van with 3 other American couples. We were first to be dropped off at the Westminister Park Plaza. We are currently driving from Palm Desert to LAX to catch our 4pm direct flight to London Heathrow. I’m so excited but already exhausted. We will arrive Tuesday at 10:30 am and start exploring. I have to admit i put a lot of planned into this trip so everything goes smoothly. Got our tickets to Buckingham palace, Tower of London, Churchill War rooms and of course a half day bus tour. I decided as against the London pass and just purchased tickets directly from the sites. I think it saved me money and guaranteed we would skip the lines.
