Day 3 California Coast

I woke up to a foggy morning. It’s always better to ride the coast in the afternoon after the fog burns off. It’s only

200 miles to San Francisco from Ragged point Inn yet it takes 5 hours due to the windy and twisty highway 1. Not to mention a few construction sites. Unfortunately for our ride it was all foggy until Carmel. We stopped at the big sur market for an egg burrito. It’s a tradition to go down to the creek and sit in the chairs right in the water and meditate. Next stop was the Starbucks in Carmel and got gas. I’m writing this one hour out from San Francisco and it’s hot. I’d guess 85 degrees. Still very picturesque from the back of the Harley aka the bitch seat. We are staying at Hotel union square for 2 nights. San Francisco is a pricey city so a decent hotel room will cost you around $200 a night even with a Groupon or last minute hotel deal.
