MOJAVE DESERT – A FUN SUPRISE

On our way back from Las Vegas yesterday we stopped at this little rest stop in the middle of the Mojave Desert (nowhere). We had to kill some time waiting for this long train to pass to kill. What a surprise to learn all the interesting history of this little train stop that is really in the middle of nowhere. There is a unique museum and a very cute gift shop in the old train stop building. Don’t miss the 15 minute film that gives you a history of this historical World War II train station.

The park ranger on duty is more than happy to tell you all about this post and answer any questions you may have for them. It is a fun little place to stop that I recommend if you are driving to Las Vegas from the Coachella desert.
