PARIS & EUROSTAR TRAIN

After a 2.5 hour train ride we arrived in Paris. The train travels up to 180 mph. It was very nice as we were served a light lunch and took a little nap.

Wow. The Eiffel Tower is more amazing than I ever thought. Built in 1889 makes me appreciate it even more. We had some terrible espresso at an outdoor cafe and then walked a good mile to find Starbucks. We had dinner sitting on Boulevard de Grenelle at a cute restaurant. Everyone sits on the sidewalk eating & drinking. We met a German man and his 12 year old daughter and walked with them to see the Eiffel Tower light up and sparkle full of lights. Afterwards we took an hour cruise on the Seine. I’ve never seen so many people sitting, walking, dancing on the banks of the river for miles. So much excitement in this city.

Today we are taking a bus tour of the city and then later this afternoon we will visit the Catacombs.
